The Beatles: Love

Listen to music from The Beatles with the album Love now available for listening on Spotify.

Love provides the soundtrack for the arty, super-acrobatic Cirque du Soleil circus troupe from Canada, which is modeled on the story of the Beatles and characters from their songs such as Eleanor Rigby, Sergeant Pepper and others.

This “soundscape” features their music in the wonderful and highly successful show The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil at The Mirage hotel in Las Vegas (tickets available starting at $79, with a summer promotion at $55 for their 10th anniversary).

It is a fascinating reworking of numerous classic Beatles recordings by the band’s original producer, Sir George Martin and his son Giles, augmented by additional instrumentation and vocals taken from their vast bank of original multi-track tapes.

This audio collage is a unique blend that mixes their existing music together in different ways, which makes you appreciate how special they really were. In my case, it’s like a backdrop of my life during my college years, early married life, and young children.

The soundtrack is available from Amazon in a Special Edition that includes a 5.1 surround sound audio DVD, and there is also a documentary DVD behind the scenes of the show called All Together Now available from Netflix.

Enjoy the album, and watch the videos too.
